CareMap London is a speculative healthcare-navigation platform designed to help vulnerable communities find trusted pathways into care, while enabling healthcare providers and policymakers to identify where people encounter systemic barriers.

THE CONCEPT
CareMap London is a London-wide healthcare navigation and support network that visualises how access changes across boroughs, services and individual circumstances.
Instead of assuming that the same healthcare pathway works for everyone, the platform considers the interaction between:
Community support infrastructure + Healthcare access barriers + Persona-specific needs
This allows the same borough or healthcare service to produce very different outcomes for different residents.

THE MAP (INTERACTIVE)
We developed an interactive prototype covering:
33 London boroughs
6 community personas
5 healthcare pathways
Community and policy modes
Persona-specific access scores
Multiple access-barrier overlays
Users can select a persona, compare boroughs, switch between services and examine how different barriers affect the likelihood of successfully reaching care.
The prototype transforms healthcare access from an abstract policy issue into a visible and explorable experience.
CareMap London was presented to representatives from the London Health Board and LOTI as part of a selected group of hackathon concepts.
